I noticed that when you choose to output a Term Description in a panel, it by default just echos the description out verbatim with no encapsulating tag. The panel places it in a

but text content should really be put into

tags as well.

Here is a patch which uses Drupal's autop functionality to render the term description just as though the line break converter input filter does for content.

Hmm, surprised I missed this. I'll roll the patch into my current -dev sandbox and make sure there aren't any problems. If not, I see no reason not to commit it for beta4.
