Appearantly Manualcrop has a change that makes it compatible with the latest Media 2.x-dev, but not compatible with the version that we are on. Obviously, I'd love to update to the latest Media per this issue:

#2159149: 'file_display' components are always overridden (update Media / File Entity)

But I just tried it and there are a bunch of problems. :-/

So, in the interim there is a patch to Manualcrop to make it compatible (again) with older version of Media:

I'll get this in right away so we're able to release even if we can't get the Media update done.
