Can the following feature be added as an option in the admin settings:
when a member signs up for an event, the creator of the event gets notified. right now, you have the option to notify the admin or whatever email you choose.

jrbeemanMoving to Signup module, as this seems to be a request that should be handled there.

intent commentedAbsolutely agree with this request 100%. Each confirmation email should be accompanied by a second email to the member who created the event, notifying him/her that someone has signed up. Or, alternatively, the member who created the event should be notified when the event has been filled.

patchak commented+1 for this feature, in the site I'm building now it makes much more sense to send a mail to the node author than to a fixed mail.
WOuld it be possible to use actions module to send a mail? For example I could create an action for signup that would trigger a simple mail to the node author...
?

wylbur commentedThis should be a standard procedure for this module. The node author is the one who should be notified. A complete solution would also include:
- designating an alternative email to be notified of signups
- Option to Allow signupees to be notified when others signup for each signup instance
- Giving Signupees an option to be notified when they sign up
Thanks!

dwwIf the event creator wants that, they can fill in their email address in the "Send signups to:" field under the "Signup settings" fieldset when creating the node. There's already a knob for this -- what more do y'all want? A checkbox instead of a textfield? Sheesh. ;)
