(I am not much into D8 yet, and do not have a store setup or payment methods ready for it, so with such a simple/small patch I can't really add anything else than to tell you whether or not the id/label/description seems sensible. Is that perhaps what you were after?)

sigveio commentedI see. Well - the payment status in itself certainly looks to be what I was looking for... so it seems fine to me.
Next up we'd need the new Authorized state to be implemented in "context" modules such as payment_ubercart. They should move the order past checkout not only on success, but also on the authorized status.
(And then extend payment statuses with the option of adding payee/payer messages like we discussed earlier - but that is probably a topic for a separate issue.)
