Anonymous (not verified) commentedFunny enough, external links 1.3 however does work with D5.6.

quicksketchCould you try out the dev version? I think this was fixed in http://drupal.org/node/213126.
hbar commentedI did have the same problem here (Drupal 5.6), but I tried the dev version (extlink-5.x-1.x-dev.tar.gz), and everything seems to work again. :-) Fixed, for me. Thanks!

hbar commentedActually, it seems to work on Safari 3.0.4 (I'm on a Mac), but not on FireFox 2.0.0.8.
I'm still using version 5.x-1.x-dev.
The icons are displayed, but the links fail to open in a new window, even though that option is selected. I've upgraded to Drupal 5.7 in the meantime, not sure if that's relevant.
Thanks for the module, btw! :)

mitchhunter commentedOk, it seems to work now.
I'm using Safari 3.0.4 (on a Mac) and Flock 1.0.5 (on a Mac too), extlink-5.x-1.x-dev.tar.gz, and Drupal 5.6 (not upgraded yet).
But I had to clear the browsers cache in order to see the icons. Reloading the page wasn't enough.
I also re-submitted the configuration.
I will upgrade to Drupal 5.7 in the next hours and see if there's something wrong.

drubage commentedI just installed this on my Drupal 5.6 installation and it didn't do anything to the external links. External links look the same as before and do not open in a new window. I cleared my cache and still they do not work and I have set all settings for the module. See the first post here:

Looks like a normal link, any ideas?

quicksketchdrubage, looks like you're not running the latest extlinks module yet. The version on your server is the 1.4 version that this problem was original reported on. It's been fixed in 1.x and in the just released 1.5 version.
If anyone is still having the new window problem, please open an issue for that particular problem and detail what versions of jquery/jquery_update you're using on your installation.
