Duplicate values event.module and location.module

The i18n module works great for me. One of the things I miss is the duplication of the values of the event.module and the location.module during a translation if the node is event or location enabled. Since this data is language independent and not that easy to keep in mind when translating a node it might be good to have a small patch that looks if the node is event/location enabled and copy this values too.
I tried to have a look in the code but couldn't find the place this is handled. Any suggestions?
