Hi,

Listhandler and Mailhandler are installed and configured. I'm using Mailman and having problems getting the MySQL Adapter installed. Long story short, it doesn't look like the Listhandler/Mailhandler/Mailman combo is going to work. I'm wondering a couple of things:

1) Is there a way to achieve Yahoo-Groups-type functionality without using an external mailing list app, i.e., is there a way to achieve that functionality by using Drupal *only* (that doesn't involve writing a custom module)?

2) If the answer to #1 is "no", does anyone have any suggestions for another mailing list app that doesn't require any hacking (a la MySQL Adapter) to get it to work with Listhandler?

Hi Squidbe,

I've gone the Mailman route myself and haven't many problems - although I'm not trying to use the MySQL adapter.

[1] The module 'simplenews' may work as a simple mailing list manager (but don't ask me how!)
or [2] there are other mailing list managers out there; Majordomo is another popular one and there's more.
