I installed the webform module a couple of months ago and it worked just fine. Now it's not working anymore, i.e. after submission

  • there is no confirmation message (the page reloads)
  • there is no error message
  • no entry is made in "results"
  • no E-Mail is sent
  • there is nothing in the logs

To sum it up: Nothing happens except a reload of the page. I can't remember anything I changed that could have caused this behaviour. I did update to drupal 5.6, though. When I experienced this problem the first time, I was using webform 5.x-1-6, I then updated to 5.x-1.7 - no changes at all.

One suspicion: Since drupal 5.6 register_globals needs to be turned off. My hoster (1&1) has it turned on by default, though. I turned it off using a php.ini in the root directory. But I'm not sure if that is enough. (Status report says register_globals is turned off.) Could that have anything to do with it?

Is there anything I can do to at least get an error message or anything that is more than nothing?

Ok, now that's strange: I installed webform 5.x1.8 and after that it worked again. Since I wanted to change the text of the submit button from "submit" to "send", I changed that between lines 1204 and 1245 in webform.module. After that, I got the same problem again. So I used the original file again (with "submit" as text) and it worked. Strange thing.
