Hi,

I'm wondering if there's a straightforward way to disable to the KML icon/feed on taxonomy/term/tid views, when views_rss is installed. I only want the icon to appear on my gmap views.

You could maybe try to use display:none; in the CSS, but there's no option at present to be able to enable/disable the icon there. It'd be a nice little addition though.

The 5.x branch of the KML module is currently unmaintained. If anyone wants to maintain it, contact me. This issue won't apply to the 6.2.x work.
