2. First, it clutters up the interface a lot to show then, second it slooooooows down the pages considerably. We only show the most important information at first sight, and then further defails, such as suggestions with their submission data, or location information is only shown, when requested.

3. I hope we can get people to work on better icons. I cannot do more about this myself.

4. Delete is missing, and it was noted in another bug report.

5. Suggestions are not editable. Think of suggestions as comments on a node (the source and/or translation). These are not editable, because suggestions show the path on which you go the final translation. You can approve a suggestion to be the final translation, or you can add a new suggestion based on the contents of the original translation or any suggestion. IMHO it is important to keep all suggestions, as this also serves as kind of a "revision" tracker (and it also keeps credit where credit is due for the suggesting user).

6. More text links instead of icons would help? Or even more buttons with long texts on them? Feel free to install any generic "title attribute to JS tooltip" solution as suggested.

Seems like 1 and 4 are to be worked on here. Please submit different bug reports later for unrelated things. As far as it seems to me here, (1, 6), 2, 3, and (4, 5) are four different issues.

To help fix some confusion around (5), I modified the alt text on the image. Plus I also added alt text on (1), so these are fixed now.

Now if you have a GPL icon set which has better icons for the tasks we need now, or you think we would be better with buttons, please open an issue. Delete has its own issue, (2) might be debated in another issue, otherwise all solved.

Well, I went in and applied a non-iconic approach to the user interface (but it took a few hours :) Hope you will like it. The 'edit' action button has text on it, but the others have unicode dingbats. This got us rid of all images except the 'newline' image, but only works nice with a UTF supportive font. We will see whether I hear screaming and shouting on this, or not. ;)

While testing this, I also noticed that (5) was actually an issue of the suggestion copy function not working properly. Now it seems to work nicely.

I also implemented a suggestion decline feature, while I was there.

Once again, if you have problems with any of the changes, open new issues, as this issue is not about icons, not about alt texts and not about anything else in particular.
