Join a Group

There are several ways that a user can become a member of a group. Often there will be a link displayed on the group page that invites the user to request group membership.

If you are not logged into the site, you will be redirected to the login page. If you do not have an account you will have to create one and then navigate back to the group page to subscribe to the group.

Once a request to join a group has been made the user will be either a) automatically subscribed (see screenshot below) or b) sent an email indicating that the request is subject to approval of a group administrator.

To leave a group, the user can click on the unsubscribe link on the group page.

Finally, there is a sub-module of Organic Groups called Organic groups register that provides an option of joining groups during the user registration process.
