Two steps: in sites/mysite/settings.php I had to explicitly set $base_url. Then I had to apply this patch to the fb module.

I'm curious, when you explicitly set the base url, do your links between canvas pages still work? That is, do the links on canvas pages link to other canvas pages correctly?
