I've been trying to get media_gallery to give pertinent aliases.
Entering this:
source: media-gallery/detail/31075/14107
alias: eclectic/salmon/pics/salm-adders-tongue.html

And then calling media-gallery/detail/31075/14107 in the URL results in the URL changing to eclectic/salmon/pics/salm-adders-tongue.html (as expected) AND the site displaying 404 not found.

Ditto if I use redirect module instead of adding things to url_alias.

Will this be fixed?

I cannot reproduce this. Never getting a 404.
Did you disable the lightbox?
