The date functionality of drupal is nice that you can have a repeat by day/month/year/etc.

Having the ability to select what units are available using this method would be easier when units are not available on lets say Mondays and Tuesdays. or You only want units available during the weekends.

The current set up seems very slow by having to do this one day at a time.

There is no need to do in one day at a time - you can select any date range. Is that not working for you?

When I go to the availability view, I can click on the collapse bar and bring down a box that give arrival date and departure date as well as a bookable unit state. This can work to block out a range of dates, but how would I block out Every Sunday to be unavailable, or Tuesdays at a reduced rate, etc?
