Agreed on adding more metrics:

Added related issues. Not sure what more could be done to determine community health.

I do think that there's a lot that can be learned by looking at https://drupal.org/project/usage/

At this stage in D7's release cycle these modules should all have stable releases and none of them should be seeking maintainers help for long.

Please add to this or the related links when you have a chance. You're input on developing this community is very much needed.
