Select date pop-up issue

Hello,

I just happened to notice when adding an event when I go to select the date with the "Select date" link the pop-up calendar does appear but at the exact moment I click on the link and the calendar appears the year field and the day field change to "NaN" and the pop-up calendar does not go past December 2012. The forward arrows are not hyperlinked and I can not adjust the date to a day in the future unless I refresh the page and enter it manually.

I googled this and found a post stating to look in the contrib folder and read the readme in the datepicker folder which I did as instructed and no change at all.

Any suggestions or possible fixes to this issue.
