Its an old issue. Today, default HTML5 player (and rest of supported players)
have enough functionality so no need for implement JWPlayer.
Beside that JWPlayer is video player.

JWPlayer has an audio component, but the player itself is not open source - it costs a monthly fee to use. I don't have access to the player due to the pricing, so I am not able to implement it. Someone who is paying for JWPlayer is welcome to contribute a patch to implement the player themselves. I would also consider implementing the player if someone paid for a subscription for me so I could access the codebase. That being said, this issue is 5 years old with no responses so I don't think the demands is very high. :)

D7 reached its EOL back in January 2025, and there is no active release for D7 for this module anymore.
Development or support is not planned for D7. All D7-related issues are marked as outdated in a bunch.

Now that this issue is closed, review the contribution record.
