In 6.x-1.x, there was a facet for which book a node belonged to. In both 7.x-1.x and 6.x-3.x the field is being indexed (is_book_bid), but the facet is no longer available.

pwolanin CreditAttribution: pwolanin commentedhmm, well basically seems to work fine, but adding nodes to books via the "outline" tab don't mark for re-indexing, so needs a little work.
I think likely the apachesolr module should add an extra submit hander to book_outline_form
