Hi,

When I try to CMD + Click on the edit link, the new tab is the exact same page I was on before. i.e. the referencing node, not the referenced one.
It all works fine when I do a simple click though.

Hi,

That is not a bug but a feature request.
We are using drupal to cache the form and rebuild it on the same page.

So, I will change the status of that issue on that way.
If you are working on that and have a patch to send, I will be happy to review it.

I had a very similar issue, where as I needed the "edit" button of entity connect to open up in a new tab/window (without having to hold control), and allow the user to make edits and save them...

I created the following patch (which only adds a single line) to entityconnect.form.inc

In my use case, I am 100% fine with EVERY entity connect edit button opening in a new window...

But I am still setting to "need work" because the best way would be for someone more knowledgeable to create a checkbox (open in a new window) that would appear below "Display Entity Connect "edit" button." in the field edit page,
And that checkbox would toggle on or off the extra line I made... ;)

Still, uploading my patch here if anyone ever needs it to open the edit page in a new windows.
It was made on the latest 7.x.2.x-dev version
