Hello Im trying to use this module to display a node in tabs similar to the Quicktabs module (or like drupal displays local menu task) , can this module provide this functionalty without needing to alter templates, preprocess ... etc?

That's the whole purpose of this module. Show fields inside groups (example tabs) ;)
