I've added a field 'image' and entered 'image' under Field property(s). I've uploaded an image but nothing is showing up.
There is no itemprop="image" in the source code and nothing is showing on rich snippets.
Why would this be?:

seems to work now, a day later. Should it take time for it to work? I cleared the caches a few times yesterday...

I've seen similar things happen when using APC. Fixable by clearing the APC cache or waiting like the OP did.
