I am logged in as the admin user (user 1). Whenever I use the masquerade menu to try to switch to another user (bob), nothing appears to happen. If I check the database log, it reports the following...

User admin now masquerading as bob.
Session closed for bob.
Session opened for admin.

So it seems that I'm logged in briefly as the new user, then immediately switched back. Any ideas what's up here? The site does use OG, which the masquerade README reports might be a problem, but I checked and OG is weighted higher than masquerade.

I am truly surprised that nobody else has commented on this issue. We are having the same problem with the masquerade module since June. Any updates or insights?

I am closing this bug report, as Drupal 6 is no longer supported. Please re-open it if the issue is still relevant for the Drupal 7 or 8 version of the module.
