Trying to rename a Bean type doesn't work too well, more details after I finish a proposal.

Cannot reproduce.
Is this still an issue for you?
I was able to edit Bean labels/machine_names without issue.

Funny.. Having this issue months later.

I cannot rename the Bean machine name... I think this might be tied to the fact that I've attached fields and some new display modes..

Yes, renaming the machine name is not a good idea. I didn't think we even allowed it.

This is an issue to allow editing the machine name here: #1365656: Edit machine_code in UI

Though as I type this I reread the title which is bean types. That doesn't surprise me either. We have several layers of cache on top of any references from beans themselves.
