Give delimiter a CSS class to be able to replace it with image delimiter

Hi. I am a web designer and I was coding a theme from Joomla to Drupal and it had delimiter as a custom arrow in .png image, I see you can change the delimiter to any symbol you want, but you cannot change it to image.

So if the delimiter had any CSS class I would be able to hide the text with text-indent: -9999px and add a image background with proper height and width which would work as a delimiter.

Please, that shouldn't be big feature request.
