Note that permissions on my server are set strict (everything is read-only except one files directory, and not owned by the apache process)
So it should be checked and documented which directories should be created / made writable

Weird thing is that the "missing" directory has actually been created, and does contain the w9.jpg image...

Directory: /srv/http/xxx.yy.zz/sites/default/files/styles/ofed_photogallery_images_slideshow_medium/public/content/photosgallery/images

writable permission must be set to the whole folder "files" to avoid this kind of error.
