Upgrading from Alpha 11 to Alpha 12..running update.php fails on:

user warning: Table 'username_drpl1.sytem' doesn't exist query: UPDATE sytem SET weight = 10 WHERE name = 'panels' in /public_html/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172.

Failed: UPDATE {sytem} SET weight = 10 WHERE name = 'panels'

Ugh, I can't believe I did that. Sigh. Fixed, but now I need to roll a new alpha.

Just had the same thing happen. If you simply run UPDATE system SET weight = 10 WHERE name = 'panels'; in your database, the issue is fixed (until the new Alpha comes along).
