Thought this might be useful for someone else. Basically this patch adds a theming function theme_single_site_list_item() that allows you to change the links used for the vocabulary terms.

Yesterday I wrote #206108: Make menu tree use it's own sitemap-menu class, but I will re-role it to allow item theming...
