After installing the module I get the following error message,
Video transcoder: FFmpeg / avconv
Missing the transcoder library. Please install FFmpeg in to your server if you intend to transcode or to auto create thumbnails.
I also cannot find the transcoder postback path access option under permissions !!
How can I fix this ?
Thank you.

Jorrit CreditAttribution: Jorrit commentedYou need to install and setup FFmpeg or Zencoder for this module to work. I think you are using an old tutorial, the permission you mention is no longer present.

Ms1993x CreditAttribution: Ms1993x commentedThank you. I have set up zencoder and Amazon S3 but for some reason the videos I upload are not being sent to Amazon. My videos are successfully uploaded to my site though. What is the purpose of using Amazon S3 and is it really needed ?

Jorrit CreditAttribution: Jorrit commentedHow have you configured the video fields? You need to select Amazon S3 there as well. Can I see your site online?

heshanlkThe purpose of using Amazon S3 is to deliver videos fast, video files generally are big files so when you let your server to to handle it lot of your bandwidth will loose on video files, so it is better to use S3 or some other cloud system for video delivering. With the video module you can either use Amazone S3 or Drupal file system, if you use Drupal file system it will require some advanced configurations.

Ms1993x CreditAttribution: Ms1993x commentedOk I figured it out. The video tutorial on the module page uses an older version of the video module. Following completely what the video said, I overlooked the settings and did not change the Upload destination of converted files and Upload destination of thumbnails as these settings are different in the older version.

Under admin/config/media/video/transcoders
I've got FFmpeg / avconv selected
Path to FFmpeg or avconv executable is set to /usr/bin/ffmpeg
And Path to save thumbnails is set to videos/thumbnails
I Am getting the same error as the original poster. How do I fix?
I downloaded https://github.com/zencoder/zencoder-php/archive/v2.1.2.zip# and installed to libraries/zencoder
but am still getting the same error message in the Status Report and
Select a video transcoder will help you convert videos and generate thumbnails.
Zencoder is unavailable: You must install and enable the Zencoder API module to use Zencoder to transcode videos.
on the admin/config/media/video/transcoders page
