When creating a content type and making configuration settings to the video field, you're told that "An illegal choice has been detected. Please contact the site administrator," if you forget to make a "Video thumbnails" selection (i.e. - you must select either "Manually upload a thumbnail" or "Don't create thumbnail", otherwise, you get the error.)
The thing that makes this a "bug" is the fact that neither of these options appears to be in a "Required" field group. I'm not saying this is an issue with the Video module per-say, however, something should be done to make sure users understand that one of these options MUST be selected before saving the configurations.

Jorrit CreditAttribution: Jorrit commentedCould it be that you have selected no transcoder? It's not an error to have no transcoder, but if that is the case, I think I know what the problem is.

Wolf_22 CreditAttribution: Wolf_22 commentedJorrit, I think you're correct because I never did--never thought I'd have the need for one--but that aside, I think the message could be clearer or else a default selection of "Don't create thumbnail" is in order to help the end-user avoid thinking that some form of systemic error has occurred. Otherwise, maybe a clearer indication like, "Please ensure a selection is made in the 'Video thumbnails' options.'
(Just something to consider.)
