Hello,
I like this "Resource Management" module.
Can you reference phpScheduleIt http://www.php.brickhost.com/
phpScheduleIt demo http://www.php.brickhost.com/demo.php
If possible, can you mix drupal and phpScheduleIt
thank you very much.

westwesterson commentedI have worked extensively with php-schedule-it in the past, and it did a lot of things right, however, there are a lot of things which drupal can do better, so the idea is to take the best ideas from php-schedule it and put it into this module. However i have been really time strapped lately and i have no more funding to further pursue the development of this module, so progress will be slow, and this project may end up as a drupal 6 release, or never be released at all. If you are interested in further funding this project, or know someone else who can take it on, let me know.
Part of the problem with this module, may be that it is really ambitious in it's conception, so it really should have multiple developers working on it, or one that is really experienced. There is new functionality in drupal 6 which makes that version of drupal a little more compelling for this module. The triggers module for instance, will be ground breaking. And allow to do a lot of things which were relatively hard to do before.
Here's the wishlist of what this module would eventually include:
* permission based checkout with resources that have an arbitrary number of component items within them.
- print out capability
- damage report with permissions
* keep track of the condition of parts of items and provide a checklist, so that when these are returned you can find out who damaged the equipment.
* an easy and intuitive way to checkout multiple items at once.
*an easy and intuitive way to see what equipment is available for the exact time period you need.
- to be achieved with dual select boxes which are filled with checkout times to be determined by user.
- there are many possible ways to do this, so perhaps there might be an api, and a default handling method for this, but you can select from other modules for additional ways of doing this, as every instance will have a different reason for doing this.
* admin setting limiting the user to a predefined maximum and minimum lengths of time with which something can be checked out.
* per equipment type permissions
- group A can check out Equipment of type A and B while group B can only checkout Equipment of type B and so on.
* integration with views
- this module will undoubtedly require views, as a big portion of it is listing information in a table, views sorts it way better and easier than it would by coding.
anyhow, if all you are looking for is php-schedule-it with drupal users, this is a lot simpler, and i bet you could pay a programmer to integrate the two for around $200 or maybe less. If you want more advanced functionality, building a module like this around drupal functionality makes more sense, because its much more flexible. Php-schedule-it is just too clunky and it's method of storing users too different to just tie the two together.
