Flood protection

Hi There,

I know this is technically only a download counter, but was wondering if you'd ever consider implementing download flood protection at all? Kind of thing where if a single IP/PHP session requests the same file more than X times they are redirected to a 403/404 or similar page. Reason for this is that I recently got hit with some sort of malicious bot that downloaded a 5MB file 10,000 in 2 days and near busted my server.
