I can't get this module to work with translated values of the Vocabulary Name's themselves. All of the terms are translated just fine and appear translated on all node view pages. However, when the vocabulary name itself is shown on the drupal site, it displays in the original (English) language. I have used the translate strings search page to find this vocabulary name, I have added the translation in multiple languages that my site supports, yet when I go to view the pages on my website it displays in English ignoring the translated value, while all the terms get translated.

This is a critical bug that needs to be fixed. Without the vocabulary names being translated, the user is presented with the name in English and will be confused by what the terms are tied to and their meaning.

Here is a separate thread (http://drupal.org/comment/reply/1786506) from another group of users that have logged the issue with subscription module. They are all experiencing the same thing. It seems to be an issue with internationalization as the problem is appearing on multiple sites using internationalization with different modules.

I am using the latest version of internationalization. I am using "translate" method on all of my vocabularies and they are working properly, however the vocabulary name itself is NOT translating. I am trying to use this module along with Faceted search module. The faceted search module is displaying the translated terms properly and that all works, but the Vocabulary name themselves are NOT being translated. I looked at the faceted search and I believe it should be displaying the vocabulary name's in their translated values. Here is the code I copied out of the Faceted Search module. ..

/**
* Localize a vocabulary by replacing its name attribute with its localized
* version for the current language.
*/
function _taxonomy_facets_localize_vocabulary(&$vocabulary) {
// If this vocabulary supports localization.
if (module_exists('i18ntaxonomy') && i18ntaxonomy_vocabulary($vocabulary->vid) == I18N_TAXONOMY_LOCALIZE) {
$vocabulary->name = tt("taxonomy:vocabulary:$vocabulary->vid:name", $vocabulary->name);
}
}

So it's properly being passed to the Localization module but it appears the localization module is not performing the translation on the view pages. This bug is delaying the launch of my site and I would REALLY REALLY appreciate some help in solving this issue for myself and others in the future. Thanks!

any update? I really really need to find a solution to this problem. Does anyone know how to get this working or are any of the module maintainers going to look into this?

Thanks neurovation.kiwi!

I can't believe the maintainers of this module haven't bothered to 1.) comment on your post and 2.) update this MAJOR flaw in the module with a release. Thank you so much for this though!!!!!!

Wouldn't you classify this as a bug? It seems changing this line of code fixes the incorrect behavior of the module. And the page you referenced I found this "Though it will be maintained and get bug fixes, don't expect new features for it." I wouldn't assume this is a new feature, so shouldn't this get fixed with an update?
