I have this simple content-type, which DS layout is enabled for forms as well.
Even though Meta tags field is hidden, it is displayed on the node add/edit forms.

Currently using 7.x-2.0-rc1+4-dev release.

Not my problem, meta tags is simply added differently, it shouldn't expose it's field on the manage form display.

Moving the issue to Meta tags' queue...

I use Display Suite on my site along with Metatag.

I configured node add/edit forms to use a DS layout, and made metatag field hidden. Because I don't need it to be displayed or used on this specific content-type.

However, Metatags is stil displayed on node add/edit forms. Please see the screenshots I attached at #1804582: Support for Display Suite's option to hide Metatag fieldset for more clarity.
