Hi
I added the following features to the module:
1) Allow user to do quick import without going through the steps.
2) Just copy/ftp the csv file to the 'import' directory and it will be auto-detected and available for quick import.
3) Node import update support.
4) Allow csv to set a menu block using the 'Alias for node which should be used as parent menu' column.

Please see the attache patch file for details.

I hope this patch will be accepted by upstream. Let me know, if there is any issue.

Thanks.

Regards
Hao

OK. I like this idea. Seems a bit too specific (books) to be added as-is.

I'll review it more carefully next week and see if I can use this (and similar patches) to create some kind of "update" feature.

Thanks, Robrecht.

I have tried applying the patch but it has no effect. I don't get a check box or any way to tell the import to update existing nodes.

I am trying to update content_profile nodes, not book nodes. Is the patch solely for nodes associated with books?

No need. After clearing the site cache, etc., I got access to the content_profile fields through user_import, which allows you to update records.
