I saw a similar issue opened a while back and finally made the switch to a new personal site at http://www.bywombats.com. I was curious if I could get my blog and other articles in this Drupal feed added to Planet Drupal for Ryan Szrama:
http://www.bywombats.com/taxonomy/term/3/0/feed
Thanks for your consideration!

I've suspended the feed as the site seems to be down at the moment. What's up?
rszrama commentedServer trouble is all.
rszrama commentedAaaand, back up. Re-add?
Is it normal to remove feeds that go dark like this? It just went down yesterday, fwiw.
dddave commentedRe-added (i.e. just ticked some boxes; suspended doesn't mean removed/deleted). I normally wait some days when the feed fails for obvious server problems especially if the feed belongs to an active community member. In this case I was checking the logs because we are currently having cron problems due to too many failing feeds. Therefore the short leash.

rszrama commentedHah, no worries. Sounds similar to the pager issue - I'm sure everything will get sorted out from a performance standpoint. : )
dddave commentedSite seems down.
rszrama commentedNot down, just slow due to some issues with Rackspace. I'll be moving servers in the new year. Perhaps its response time exceeds the feed's timeout setting? It's definitely still accessible, but it's just too slow for me to bother writing new posts atm.
dddave commentedJust ping this issue when you are done.

rszrama commentedWell, it took me long enough, but I've finally fixed my site. Turns out I actually had a rogue Kickstart 2.x installation from an old test domain that had attracted thousands of spam commenters over time. Oy vey.
I finished my site migration regardless, though, and have recreated the Drupal Planet feed at the following URL:
http://ryanszrama.com/topics/201/feed
It's no longer By Wombats, so can it just be listed in Planet as Ryan Szrama?
Thanks!

dddave commentedFeed validates. Welcome back.
rszrama commentedWoohoo! Thanks for staying on me, Dave. Provided the impetus I needed to get my house in order. ; )
rszrama commentedOh, hey, fyi it looks like my name in the Planet feeds list still links to the old domain. It should link to http://ryanszrama.com/topics/drupal instead. Thanks!
dddave commentedThis gets fixed by the next cache refresh which happens every now and then. Nothing to do manually here.
Your spam magnet story made me lol btw. Thx.
rszrama commentedhehe, yeah, I finally realized something was up when I noticed the database had swelled to over 7 GB. : P
It looks like the refresh has done its thing, though it did show me a bug in the View configuration I had to go fix. Because I hadn't explicitly set the Feed display's link setting (i.e. to point it to the term page display), it was trying to append the term ID to the URL of the default display, which is just the /blog URL. In other words, it was linking to ryanszrama.com/blog/201 (non-existent) instead of /topics/drupal. Never knew the setting existed, but it worked exactly as I expected. : D
