Three times now in succession, the grid/blocks debugging toggle has stopped working for me specifically in the Chrome 21 browser. The little checkmarks show hover sensitivity, but clicking them does not toggle their state. Clearing the browser data fixes the problem, but I haven't been able to narrow it down to specifically which kind of browser data make the difference.

I have been unable to tell whether some specific action triggers the toggles to cease working. I do not have this problem with IE 10 or Firefox 11.

I'm seeing the problem in Firefox as well, on both Windows and OSX. In addition, I'm also having a problem with drag and drop configuration not working.

The problem also seems to be user and/or role sensitive. I created a new user that does not have the administrator role, and the grid / block icons work. Going back to my original account (with administrator role) does not work. I removed the administrator role from my account and it works! Adding the administrator role back and it does not work. Base on testing various scenarios I think the feature is not working with the administrator role. Same problem occurs with the user 1 account.

I found a work-around to the problem that was described in Drag and drop not working

It seems you need to have compress javascript files turned ON! This fixes both of my problems with the grid / blocks toggle in Omega and the drag and drop not working.

Don't think this is a good solution. I think I recall that in the IE browser there is a limit to how many javascript files you can have, but didn't think this was an issue with the other browsers.

What's subtle about the problem is that it may or may not show up depending on the environment the code is running in. I hadn't seen the problem on a previous site I worked on, nor on my local machines: osx and windows. This site that has the problem is using cPanel, but I'll have to investigate what version of php etc it is using.

I can confirm that this bug happens in both Firefox and Chrome as well. Haven't tested in IE or Safari, but it's definitely an annoying bug. I've found that working with anything other than "Override Mode" seems to cause some very buggy behaviour. Having parent templates and working in "Preserve Mode" often seems to cause buggy, unexpected behaviour.
