When I installed rc1 on my server I get multiple errors similiar to the following:
"Strict warning: is_a(): Deprecated. Please use the instanceof operator in crumbs_InjectedAPI_hookCrumbsPlugins->monoPlugin() (line 58 of /u/home/likemindtravel/sites/commerce_kickstart-7.x-2.0-rc1/profiles/commerce_kickstart/modules/contrib/crumbs/lib/InjectedAPI/hookCrumbsPlugins.php)."
Here are the Web server details from the Drupal status report:
Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.22 OpenSSL/1.0.0g DAV/2 PHP/5.2.17
However when I installed locally I didn't get the errors. Local web server details from the Drupal status report:
Apache/2.2.22 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.22 OpenSSL/0.9.8r DAV/2 PHP/5.2.17
I don't think its the same issue as this but might be related: http://drupal.org/node/1788214

theo_ commentedIt seems that your using a php version older than 5.0.0 is that right ?
bojanz commentedNo, is_a() was deprecated in PHP 5.2, but isn't deprecated in PHP 5.3.
We'll switch Crumbs to instanceof.
vasikehere is patch wich replace is_a with instanceof
Comment #4
bojanz commentedCommitted, thanks.

mrynearson commentedThanks for the assistance! Is the patch something I need to add to the codebase? I haven't done that before. I just reinstalled with the version of rc1 from the project page and got the same errors, so I assume the patch hasn't been committed. Or if it has, it didn't resolve my particular issue.
FYI this is for 7.x-2.0-rc1, for some reason I don't see that in my version dropdown on this page.
One last comment, this is for php 5.2.17 so its newer than 5.0.0. The curious thing is its the same exact version of php is in my MAMP environment and I don't get the error. So I'm wondering if it might be a server specific error.

bojanz commentedYou are in the Crumbs issue queue.
You will either need to replace the Crumbs module that you have in profiles/commerce_kickstart/modules/contrib/crumbs with tomorrow's -dev version, or replace Kickstart with tomorrow's -dev version.

mrynearson commentedGreat I will patiently wait for the updated release. Thanks again!

mrynearson commentedHi was away from this site for a few weeks.
Still getting this error on the server:
Strict warning: is_a(): Deprecated. Please use the instanceof operator in crumbs_InvokeAction_findForPath->invoke() (line 65 of /u/home/likemindtravel/sites/commerce_kickstart-7.x-2.0-rc1/profiles/commerce_kickstart/modules/contrib/crumbs/lib/InvokeAction/findForPath.php).
So currently what is happening is my local version doesn't have the error but the server does. Both local and server are using commerce_kickstart-7.x-2.0-rc1 and php 5.2.17. I'm using MAMP for the local environment. The server company hosts quite a few drupal sites and they are somewhat knowledgable, but I assume its a server issue. Wondering what it might be. Thanks.

bojanz commentedKickstart RC1 has an older version of Crumbs, this fix went in well after Kickstart RC1 was tagged. You need the latest Kickstart -dev.
mrynearson commentedThanks, give it a try.
mrynearson commentedThanks, that works great! Is the dev version production ready? Will the next release version of kickstart have this patch? I could use rc1 and turn off crumbs for now. I just want to make sure since I'm making a production site that I don't go down the wrong path.

donquixote commentedA point release of Crumbs is planned for next week, maybe already on Monday.
I don't know about Kickstart, but I imagine it will follow.
