The configuration entity uses the EntityAPIControllerExportable class, just need to implement it.

This is such an important feature.
It would be great to be able to export settings as part of features.

variables have a prefix of fep_ if you want to do a drush vget fep_ to find out which variables are available.
Can I place these in my config file while we wait for exportability?
