Currently Commons doesn't define any text formats - Let's define the same ones as Drupal core.

david.moore.ipg commentedLet's make sure that there is one that aligns with the WYSIWYG requirements. If I recall, sometimes in the past the defaults allowed markup that the WYSIWYG could not handle.

ezra-g commented@david.moore.ipg - Absolutely.

izkreny commentedShouldn't we follow Spark on this one?
ezra-g commentedYes, we should be following Spark here. I'm refining the scope of the present issue to focus on getting some kind of filtered HTML role into Commons since this is a blocker to progressing with the Activity stream functionality. For the long-term solution, I've filed #1760498: Integrate Spark with Drupal Commons.
Thanks for the prompt attention and responses here!
ezra-g commentedI tested on a fresh install and committed: http://drupalcode.org/project/commons.git/commit/6664a27 .
I'm coordinating with the Spark team to identify the best path to a Featurized version of Spark-related formats, permissions and other config.
