commerce kickstart 2.0 beta is great stuff,
but even if you don't make commerce files available,
could you please at least make "shipping" dependencies
not mandatory for commerce kickstart user, commerce kickstart product,
commerce kickstart lite product, commerce kickstart lite product zoom
& ui relative modules/features please ?
also, could you please make "shipping" an option at installation time
like the other installable options ?
in order to be able to work on kickstart to sell files and/or services
based on that great easing interface...

bojanz commentedKickstart is aiming to optimize for selling physical products, which is why I don't want (and can't) to remove shipping from the dependencies.
This is not the only assumption we make, and will continue to make about selling with Kickstart.
You will be able to install Backoffice and other Kickstart modules for an improved admin experience on non-Kickstart sites.

joshmillerRyan just said this particular dependency is really a bug with the current kickstart 2 distribution. We should decouple shipping as a single feature that can be turned off.

bojanz commentedOkay, I'd be happy to review a PR.

ipwa commentedWould be amazing if this happened

bojanz commentedKickstart is in maintenance mode, and this change would be too large for it (unless someoen decided to create a 3.x branch).
