Maybe I'm missing something but when I check my database after importing Evanced events the Teaser fields are remaining blank until I open the event in Drupal and then save again. Is there way to map the Event description to both the Body and Teaser fields on import?

No, you weren't missing anything. It appears that the teaser field was indeed remaining blank upon import. The attached patch should fix that.

Note that this patch will only affect new events, as well as ones that have been edited in Evanced.

Terrific! I'll fold this fix into the next release of the Evanced Events Importer.
