Post reply button visible with no permissions to reply with Forum Access

I've set a forum board to only be visible to authenticated users with no ability to post a reply, however the post reply buttons are still visible, however clicking on them displays an access denied message.

The buttons for creating a topic are correctly removed with a message to say the user does not have permission. I've noticed that the reply buttons that are visible are the ones at the top and bottom of the posts list when you click into a topic, and also the reply button that is visible on the node post, however all the comments associated to the topic have the reply button removed correctly.

According to Forum Access, this works correctly without AF, so it's suggested it's the way AF is rendering.
