Looking at this again.

Right now the default content type doesn't list "Contributor" as an option in the Contributor role. I'd suggest adding it:

Author|Author
Maintainer|Maintainer
Co-Maintainer|Co-Maintainer
Contributor|Contributor

Also, the content type description should probably include a link to /drupalgive

A contribution made by a team member to the Drupal or open source community. For more information see http://drupal.org/drupalgive
