Add nofollowlist by content type

Would it somehow be possible to add the nofollowlist by content type or maybe just to add rel="nofollow" to all links within a certain content type?

I have searched for this but can't seem to find out if it is possible or not.
I think it might be possible to use the "nofollowlist_replace" function in the template.php somewhere and pass it on the content output of a certain content type but not sure how to go about this.
