Hello,

Any timeframe about adaptive/responsive themes?

p.s. I am a big fan of your design!

Hi PlayfulWolf,

we have just release last weekend our first responsive premium Drupal 7 theme.
Details you find here http://www.themebrain.com/blog/here-you-go-our-first-drupal-premium-theme and here http://www.themebrain.com/theme-detail/tb-methys-ii

Mmmm... TB Elastica. We are still thinking about how to incorporate responsive design into Nucleus.
What would you like to see? Which features would help you to develop a responsive theme?

Cheers!

great magazine style theme, sad it is not free :/

If you give me capable framework - I can convert 1 theme into responsive. TB Simply is awesome looking one.
Or should I convert using Adaptive theme?

for me, the number ONE thing to address is the handling of the navigation bar - presenting as a scroll bar interface instead of simply 'miniaturized' in some way - that's paramount for site navigation in mobile (or a side/swipe menu interface, also awesome)

That is easy thing to do. You can look at AT themes

What do you think about the a native select field for the navigation. Most of the smartphones have a native UI for it as soon you click on the select box, a new window pops up and the user can swipe up and down and select the menu item.

not sure exactly what you mean - do you have a screenshot or link to a screenshot?

I think we can close this issue as we have 2 responsive themes out. We currently consider to turn 1 or more of our free themes to be responsive (but with Nucleus yet).

@zilla: what I mean with the "select field" navigation you can find here http://www.vanseodesign.com/web-design/responsive-navigation-patterns/

Select menu — Keeps everything in the header. Space is conserved by transforming navigation into a select menu. This allows more links in your navigation without taking up additional vertical space and keeps the navigation at the top of the page.

Open with your iPhone or Android device a website with a select field and you will see what I mean.
