Thanks for this module. It is what I've been looking for for years.

I just wonder if there's any way to redirect all links to individual comments to the page view, automatically?

Interesting thought, but I'm not sure how it would be done since there isn't really a good way to detect any given request as a comment link. At the very least, I don't think this is feasible in D5, though I may consider a patch if someone comes up with one in D6.
