Understanding how to extend a module designed to be used by other stations is important. If you've added fields to cm_show at the Easy level, you've started making customizations. Now at the Moderate level, you'll learn how to capture those customizations using the Features module and how to share those Features with other stations.

Features can be a confusing term. In this case we aren't referring to "a distinctive attribute or aspect of something", but the Features module used to export configuration changes and/or manage changes to fields on a Content Type and Views between a dev -> test -> and live site.
