I download the development version of the video module then installed it like any other module. I even checked the installation document to see if there was anything special I needed to do, I didn't see anything for the 5.x-1.x-dev version. The first time I go to enable the module I submit and when the page reloads, it's just a white screen with this at the top:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/rtr-te2/public_html/dev/sites/all/modules/video/plugins/video_upload/video_upload.module on line 373

I delete the module and reinstall it, but then I refresh my website window, and cannot even get to the modules page on my site. The same error appears every time. I'm not sure what's wrong, but I hope someone does.

please check that you running at least version 1.16.2.2 of video_upload.module file.
(You have the version number on the first line of the video_upload.module file)

We had a syntax error which has been fixed.

If you are running a previous version just get the most recent 5 dev version and use it

Setting this as fixed. Please reopen if this does not fix your problem.
