I have vocabulary which I want to use for filedepot, I fact I use the same vocabulary for different purposes.
is it possible to provide a select widget to select an existing vocabulary for filedepot?

There is not and the main reason, filedepot does not use the traditional taxonomy is because of the required access controls needed on the terms. We don't want to show privileged terms in the tag cloud that other users don't have access to.

If someone wants to write a taxonomy access plugin that respects the folder permission flexibility of filedepot, we would be pleased to remove our custom tagging functionality.
