Hello,
I just created an account on Pantheon, and installed Panopoly on it. Now, I have an example page in front of me.
I really wonder how I can see the responsive properties of Panopoly. I changed the layout to some predefined layouts, but when I play with the width of my browser, it doesnt seem to adapt to width. A scrollbar appears on the bottom. Is this the way of working? Or should I really view it on a mobile device?

mrf commentedThe responsive themes are both included with open academy. The wireframe theme would probably be a good place to start if you want to create your own panopoly-style responsive theme.

mrf commentedPanopoly comes with responsive panel layouts, but without a responsive theme they won't do much for you. Open Academy has a couple of examples you can use if you don't want to build your own theme to take advantage of those layouts.
